Obiklip

Obiklip

Turn long-form spoken video into short, publish-ready clips.

Version 2.0.0 macOS and Windows

Pricing

You buy minutes once and spend them on the recordings you analyse. There is no subscription, nothing renews, and nothing is cancelled.

The unit

One minute of Obiklip is one minute of source video analysed, rounded up to the whole minute. Analysing a recording of 1 h 24 m 32 s spends 85 minutes. The number of clips it finds makes no difference, and neither does how long you then spend working on them.

What it costs

Offer Minutes Price Per minute
Free trial 30 Free, once -
Top-up Any amount, from 50 From USD 3.00 USD 0.060
Starter 300 USD 15.00 USD 0.050
Creator 1,000 USD 39.00 USD 0.039
Studio 3,000 USD 105.00 USD 0.035

Prices are in US dollars. A top-up starts at 50 minutes because a smaller payment loses too much of itself to the card fee.

The free trial

Every new account starts with 30 minutes, enough for a full-length episode or two shorter talks. It is one trial per person rather than one per sign-up, so a second address does not bring another thirty minutes.

What is free

A recording is charged once, on the day you analyse it. After that:

  • Reviewing the clips, as long as you like.
  • Moving where a clip starts and ends.
  • Correcting the transcript.
  • Rewriting titles.
  • Changing the subtitle style, the position and the shape of the frame.
  • Exporting, and exporting again, as many times as you want.
  • Importing the same recording a second time.

Minutes are held when a run starts and only spent when it finishes. If a run fails, the hold is released and the minutes are yours again.

The exception is Re-analyze Video, which asks for the whole recording to be read again from scratch. That is a second run and costs like the first one; it is only worth it when the first run was given the wrong spoken language.

Buying more

Open My Account in the app and choose Buy Minutes. Payment happens in your browser; the minutes appear on your balance as soon as it goes through. Nothing is stored in the app, and there is no card on file to remove later.

A payment that does not arrive, or a balance that looks wrong, is worth an email: contact us with the date and we will sort it out.
