Finish a clip for posting

Prepare the video, subtitle file and post text in the same clip editor. Start with a recording you have already analysed.

1. Choose the analysis and clip

If you have analysed the recording more than once, open the Analysis # menu above the clip list and choose the set you want. Switching between saved sets costs nothing. Open a clip to edit it.

2. Finish the cut and the picture

Use the Clip tab to adjust the title, start and end. In Output, choose the aspect ratio and Fit or Crop. Drag the divider to give the preview or settings more room.

3. Save the subtitles

In Subtitle, choose the look and check the words. Under Export subtitle as, choose .srt for timed subtitles, .txt for readable speech, or .ass to keep the subtitle styling. ASS needs a subtitle style selected.

The subtitle timing starts at the clip's beginning. If a translated transcript is active, the file uses that language. Saving these files costs nothing.

4. Prepare the post text

Open Post Copy and press Generate post copy. Obiklip creates an on-screen hook, title, post caption, quote card text and hashtags from the clip transcript. The request is billed to your own OpenAI account like any other.

Copy is generated once per clip and saved. Review and edit the text fields, then use their copy buttons to paste into your publishing app. If you later change the clip or transcript language, check the saved copy again: it can be out of date. A hook or quote in this tab is text to copy, not a video overlay.

5. Export the video

Press Export, choose your output settings and save the MP4. Upload the video and paste your post text on your chosen platform. Obiklip does not publish the post for you. Exporting again after an edit costs nothing.
