Privacy overview
Your source video stays on your computer. Obiklip sends only the audio and text needed for the AI processing you request.

What stays in your browser
- Projects, transcripts, clips, titles, edits and export history.
- Settings and stored local-file handles.
- Your OpenAI API key.
- The audio Obiklip cut to transcribe your video, and the clips it finished exporting. Both are made from your own video and never sent anywhere. Settings → Storage shows and clears them.
The source video remains at its original location. Finished clips and subtitle files are generated locally and downloaded by the browser.
What leaves your computer
Compressed audio and relevant transcript text go directly from the browser to OpenAI, using your own API key. The source video itself is never sent, and Obiklip is never in the path: it does not see the audio, the transcript, the prompt or the result, and keeps no record that the request happened.
Obiklip stores nothing online. There is no account, no server and no database: the website and the app are static files, and everything else is on your computer.
Other companies involved
- OpenAI processes the requested audio and text, on your own API account.
- Vercel hosts the static website and the static web app, and counts page views on both.
- Stripe handles optional support payments on its own page.
- Telegram carries messages you send to the developer.
Page counts
Vercel Web Analytics counts how often each page of the website and of the app is opened. It sets no cookie and stores nothing in your browser, and it sees a page address and nothing else - never a video, a transcript, a clip or your API key.
No advertising business
Obiklip does not sell personal data, serve advertising, send marketing email or build a profile of what you do in the app.
