Privacy
The short version: your video file is never uploaded, your clips are made on your own machine, and the only thing that leaves your computer is what is needed to turn speech into text.
What stays on your machine
- The recording itself. Obiklip opens it where it sits and never copies or uploads it.
- The transcript, the clips, the titles and every edit you make.
- Every clip you export.
- Your settings.
All of it lives in one folder on your computer, listed in Installing Obiklip. Delete the folder and it is gone; we never had a copy.
What leaves it
Finding the moments worth clipping means knowing what was said, and that cannot be worked out from the picture. When you press Analyze Video, audio from the recording is sent to the Obiklip service, turned into text, and the text comes back to your machine. The video is not part of that.
That audio is used to produce your transcript and for nothing else. We do not keep a library of your recordings, we do not train anything of ours on them, and we do not sell them or hand them to anyone for their own purposes.
What we keep

| Runs | For each analysis: when it happened, how long the recording was, whether it finished, and an identifier for the recording. That is what a balance has to be able to explain. No transcript, no clips, no titles. |
| Purchases | What you bought and when. Card details are handled by the payment provider and never reach us or the app. |
What we do not do
- No analytics, no tracking and no advertising in the app.
- No selling of anything about you to anyone.
- No reading of your projects. They are not ours to read; they are on your disk.
Deleting your account
Ask us from the address you signed up with. We remove the account and what is attached to it. Anything on your own machine is yours to delete, and uninstalling does not touch the clips you exported.
Questions about a specific recording - something confidential, something under an agreement - are welcome. Ask before you analyse it rather than after.
