Release notes

Obiklip now runs as a web app. Refreshing loads the current release; there is no installer to update.

Web app

Released 18 September 2026.

• Use Obiklip at app.obiklip.com; no account is required.
• Keep source videos, projects, edits and exports local to the browser.
• Run everything on your own OpenAI API key, saved in each browser.
• Use every feature free, without a daily analysis quota.
• Optional support replaces paid plans. No subscription or credits.
• Render MP4 clips and editor timelines locally, then download them from the browser.

Earlier desktop releases

Versions 2.0.0 through 2.3.2 were desktop builds. They are no longer distributed or supported as the current product. Existing local desktop data is not migrated into the web app.
